Theta blockchain - Rosetta implementation

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently completed the implementation of Rosetta for Theta blockchain. You can find the public repository here: GitHub - thetatoken/theta-rosetta-rpc-adaptor: Theta Implementation of the Rosetta RPC API standard developed by Coinbase.com

Overview

Theta-rosetta provides a reference implementation of the Rosetta specification for Theta.

The readme can also be found here: GitHub - thetatoken/theta-rosetta-rpc-adaptor: Theta Implementation of the Rosetta RPC API standard developed by Coinbase.com

Features

  • Comprehensive tracking of all ETH balance changes
  • Stateless, offline, curve-based transaction construction (with address checksum validation)
  • Atomic balance lookups using go-ethereum’s GraphQL Endpoint
  • Idempotent access to all transaction traces and receipts

What is Theta?

Theta is the leading video and entertainment-focused blockchain. It uses a modified BFT consensus mechanism that allows thousands of nodes to participate in the consensus process, while still supporting more than 1,000+ TPS. Theta infrastructure enables existing video platforms to drive incremental revenues and reduce content delivery costs while end-users are rewarded for sharing their bandwidth to relay video on any PC, mobile, Smart TV or IoT device.

Theta blockchain uses two native tokens (THETA and TFUEL) as well as supporting new tokens created via token standards like TNT-20 (Theta Network Token) and TNT-731.

THETA is the governance token of the Theta protocol: it is used to stake as a Validator or Guardian node, to produce blocks, and to participate in the protocol’s governance.

TFUEL is the operational token of the Theta protocol: it is used as ‘gas’ by users to complete transactions (e.g., for a relay node to provide a third party with a video stream, or to deploy / interact with smart contracts).

Most recently, the company launched ThetaDrop NFT marketplace in partnership with Katy Perry, ONE Championship and the World Poker Tour aiming to disrupt the digital collectibles industry.
